Avare, pronounced "ah vAir", serves as a comprehensive free moving-map Aviation GPS and EFB app. Internet access is needed solely for app installation, aviaton database setup, free chart downloads, and updates. The app provides offline moving maps on various FAA charts, along with essential information such as A/FD data, Airport Diagrams with GPS Taxi capabilities, and Terminal Procedures.

In addition to supporting a range of features like GPS status, Terrain/Elevation Maps, obstacles, and information on 50 nearest airports, Avare stands out for offering all these services ad-free. While the app is not FAA certified for primary navigation, it can be used following FAA guidelines provided in relevant documents available on the website.
